New Times Internship Day #3: Thursday, June 10, 2010. Worked 10:00 am-4:00 pm.

Today was my third day in the office. Because I finished my timeline (which was posted online at http://blogs.browardpalmbeach.com/juice/2010/06/scott_rothstein.php#more) on Tuesday, Eric assigned me a new project to do. This assignment requires me to find pictures for the “Best of” issue. This issue names various things in the West Palm and Fort Lauderdale area and labels them under categories such as “best restaurant” or “best waitress staff”. When I asked Eric why this issue was put out in June instead of December around New Years, he said that December was usually a busy month filled with issues. So, the staff does this issue in June which is a less busy time. Along with this piece of knowledge, I learned about flickr.com, a website with photos. Unless there is credit given to a photographer, one can use any photo one wants. Overall, today’s task was easy but tedious as well as hard on the eyes from working on the computer for such a long time.
