WLRN Internship Day #17: Friday, June 4, 2010. Worked 10:00 am -5:00pm

Today was my last day interning at the station. I did very small tasks due to the fact that it was the end of the week and almost everything was done. I observed Andrew and Mia while they edited the promotional video (also known as a “promo”) for the Antique Road Show. Andrew rolled tape of people reacting to low prices of the antique items and used a woman’s voice advertising the low prices over more footage. In the background was the instrumental version of the song “Country Fried” by the Zack Brown band. This song was first chosen by me in the first week of my internship when Mia asked me to choose a song for this promo. When I was done with this, I interviewed staff members for my paper I am writing that deals with how technology has influenced television stations. Most importantly, I said good-bye to most of the people I worked with. Overall, today was bittersweet because I am leaving people who I love to work with, yet I am satisfied that I have more experience with the communications field. I have learned a tremendous amount and will most defiantly use it to my advantage in the future.
